I just updated my game, Attack of the Bacilli, which can be found here: https://neurodude64.itch.io/attack-of-the-bacilli.

"""

I uploaded an update to Attack of the Bacilli.

Added a start screen with a bit about the story and the controls of the game.

Updated firing of antibodies, allowing continual firing by holding down the spacebar, and updated the antibody image.

Added tracking of firing speed, as well as updated the Upgrade Screen

Updated player and enemy images, as well as adjusted how much the player can move.

(^ A little bit of Python code if you know what it means)

How to play the game:

To play it follow the first link and download the game that is called Attack_of_the_Bacilli_version_2.exe, then after running the game, you will get a pop-up that looks like this:

ree

This is because I don't have a publisher to publish this free game. To play the game, you will have to press More Info and then press Run anyway. This will then run the game.

How to learn to make a game like this?

If you are interested in learning to code a game like this, you are in the perfect place. I am offering two free Python programming lessons for a limited time. These lessons will start from the basics, assuming no previous programming experience. You do not even need to be good at math, although your math skills will improve as you progress through the lessons. To take advantage of this opportunity, go to this link and https://www.codersjournal.com/contact, enter your contact information, and on the first line of your message type: Neurodude64. After that, tell me that you are interested in learning to code, what grade you are in, and what experience, if any, you have with programming.

After that, I will message you with instructions on how to schedule your first lesson.

I look forward to hearing from you!

Subscribe for the latest updates on my games, as well as blog posts on anything at the intersection of biology and computer science. I also read comments posted to any of my blog posts. You can also, if you are so inclined, heart any posts you like.

I also have a YouTube channel where I will be posting similar content, including Python video-lessons: https://www.youtube.com/@NeuroDude64/videos.

Go out there and keep learning!
